The Chilliwack Players Guild is thrilled to host the 2023 Theatre B.C. Fraser Valley Zone Festival.
THEATRE BC has served as the parent association for community theatre in the province since 1932. Its aims are to promote and encourage the development of community theatre by providing leadership as well as opportunities for participation, education and sharing in the enjoyment of diverse theatre experiences. Theatre BC divides the province into 10 geographical Zones, each incorporating the community theatre groups within the region. An annual adjudicated theatre festival is held within each Zone in the spring, with the winning production going on to the Provincial MAINSTAGE Festival in July.
This year’s Fraser Valley Zone Festival will consist of six participants:
May 21 – Chilliwack Players Guild (Chilliwack) presents The Book of Will by Lauren Gunderson
May 22 – Langley Little Theatre (Langley)presents Problem Child by George F Walker
May 23 – Opening Night Theatre (Mission)presents The Cave Dwellers by William Saroyan
May 24 – Pivot Theatre (Surrey) presents Perfect Arrangement by Topher Payne
May 25 – Stage 43 (Port Coquitlam) presents God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza
May 26 – Emerald Pig (Maple Ridge)presents The Last Real Summer by Warren Graves
