For recreating an old-time 1940’s radio show, we are looking for “studio” actors to play various roles in two “broadcasts”.

“The Whistler,” a long-running radio mystery drama that was broadcast from 1942 to 1955. Our production features the episode “Stranger in the House“.
“My Favourite Husband,” a radio comedy that was a precursor to the “I Love Lucy” television show, and ran for 124 episodes from 1948 to 1961. This production features the episode “Twelve for Dinner“.

Performance Dates:
January 16, 17, 2027 at the Rotary Hall theatre, Chilliwack Cultural Centre.

Auditions will be held at the Guildhall, 45530 Spadina Avenue, from 1:00-5:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18.

We will be auditioning for the following roles, reading selections from the scripts. Perusal scripts are available on request.

Rhoda – her maid
Ted – Helen’s brother
various smaller roles

“Twelve for Dinner”

Liz – the wife (Lucy)

Mother – George’s condescending mother
Katy – Liz’s faithful maid
Iris – Liz’s best friend
Delivery boy – amorous teen with cracked voice (if possible)
